How to chase curiosity in entrepreneurship and life
There’s a simple idea I came across recently. It’s a paraphrase of a quote attributed to Charlie Munger, the late vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway and Warren Buffett’s longtime business partner. He said:
“Follow your natural drift.”
It’s an idea that echoes so deeply in so many episodes of How I Built This…especially this week’s.
This idea…follow your drift…is what led me to pursue a whole bunch of different things in life: first news journalism—radio, print and TV. Later on, podcasts about big ideas and eventually…the very shows I make today. If you told me 15 years ago that I would be best known as someone who highlights the stories of entrepreneurs, I’d have hardly believed you. But it was something I became deeply interested and just sort of…followed. The natural drift.
